Beginner Drum Set Course
Learn the Basics of Technique, Grooves, and Fills
Throughout this course a beginner drummer will learn:
* Proper Stick Control, Grip, and Technique
* How to Start Playing Rudiments
* The Names of the Drums
* Essential Grooves and Fills
* How to Freely Move around the Bass Drum
* How to Begin Phrasing their Grooves and Fills Musically
* How to Play Open Hi-hats
All lectures have Sheet Music provided and are written in a sequential order that makes sense and will make learning the drum set easy and fun!
Your Instructor
Chattanooga Musician Barret Griffy has been playing drums since the age of fourteen (2003). In 2016 he earned his Bachelors degree in Music Education from UTC, and won the Chattanooga Store Guitar Center Drum Off. Upon graduating UTC he opened a music instruction school called, "Insane Rhythm Music Lessons" where he teaches drums, guitar, bass, piano, and ukulele. Barret writes his own music and has published a number of albums, two books, and countless YouTube Video lessons and reviews. Overall he loves teaching and loves music!
